Alpha Expedition: Gobi Roof Rack.
OOPs I've lost one of the trianglar wear plates (mean nasty garvel roads - washboards and holes).
Are such small parts available from you? Or from Gobi only?
Got the wind deflector on easily, even with the hard top on it has made a good bit of difference in the noise. Thanks!

I have yet to go wheeling with my rack on, but I can definetly feel it up there.
I do not think it would make any serious difference for wheeling unless you have it loaded up or you normally push your jeep to teetering positions.

Rack is fine wheeling...I do it all the time. I would recommend removing any cargo you don't need while up on the trail and make sure it's secure if you're going to wheel with it up there...off-camber with a bunch of top load cargo can get kinda hairy, but with just the rack itself no problem. Kills me when I see guys with spare tires loaded on top of their rigs go rock crawling.
Mine has actually saved my soft top...I was off-camber hard on the driverside going up a narrow wash and the rack acted as a slider along a tree...would have chewed my softtop up.

Hi all
Got the rack months ago and installed it over the hard top. Fit well but a bit noisey with the freedom top insterts removed. Last week I got my Tuffy security deck and replaced the hard top with the soft. Had my young nephew with me and we "Man" handeled the front light bar to get the front part of the soft top to drop down. Installed the "Wind" deflector today but I could not for the life of me get the soft top past the light bar. The set back is like 1/2'' too far
I don't want to force the issue and damage the soft top or bend the light bar back and damage it or where it attaches to the jeep.
Has anyone with a 2010 soft top had the same issue? Once you get the Sunrider top past the light bar can you fold it back as designed ( 1/2 way down) or does the top material get pressed down by the rack? I have seen the excellant video of McCurdy's taking his top down but I believe the 2010's Sunrider top may fit differently. I just can't get it past the bar.....but getting past any bar has always been a problem for me.

Any advise is greatly appreciated as the rain in the northwest may be over next month and I want to go topless. I don't want to miss our one day of sunshine
