One more quick Q. Does this mean you are making a rear bumper w/ Gerry Can mounts and swingaway? Or are you building something like the O-R Fab Swingaway Tire/Can carriers separate from the bumper? If you are working on a bumper, consider what SHrockworks is doing with built in backup lights please.

Will it interchange with other tire carriers or will it be exclusive to yours? I have an LoD, but haven't picked up a can carrier yet.

Not sure I would want to undo lug nuts to get to my water or gas on the trail. I would rather fill them on the ground to. Dont want to unbolt my tire to fill up.

I'm not sure if it will be interchangeable with everything or not. I plan to make it work that way, but it may depend on the tire carrier and how its set up....

The tire carrier system we built is integrated into our rear bumper. Unfortunetly, the designing is pretty much finished.

There are places in which you could add back up lights easily, but there won't be any integreated reverse lights in the bumper.

I'll look at it though for future revisions. We're doing it for our FJ Cruiser rear bumper so......

We'll it took me the better part of the day, but I think I got it all dialed in. Now its down to the little things, and making fine adjustments.

Just so you all know I very much appreciate the participation on this and the feedback. If I can get one of these done soon I'll post up some pics. and do a sneak peek kinda thing...

In the end I was able to incorporate easy access, as well as a way to lock them with key. the key lock is probably my favorite part, and over all, even though it will be a whole new thing, I think we'll be able to price it competitively with whats on the market already....

thanks again everyone....

I hope its

I'm considering several options myself.

price is all I care about on this one. I like the feature but don't care enough to pay that much for bells and whistles. Keep it functional and costs as low as possible. Provide a hole for a lock

that does bring up a good question? The hope is to have it price competitvily to whats out there though their seams to be some price variation between manufactures, not to mention the price of the cans themselfs. Being realistic, what sort of market price range have you seen, or what do you think a good set up that carries 2 cans would cost (not what they should cost )
