Light tabs, the center adjustable cross member and various other finial touches are still needing to be completed.

Let me know what you think so far.

I don't see any of the inner tub/support structure, is it because there is no change in that part ot the rack????

Please email me

I drive a lot of gravel/bumpy roads with my bikes on the hitch rack.

Id love to have this rack to get them out of the dust and dirt that gets kicked up behind the Jeep.

The only thing Im worried about is the roof rack flexing and moving when I hit bumps. I would think the flex would start cracks where the bolts go through the top. Do you drill the holes bigger than the bolts?

How extensive have you tested this rack on rough roads?

i love the design of your rack but i wait for the 2dr

can be a little critical ?
i am not a "mudder" and my jk is first a very good car for snow here

first it s not a bumper so it seems to me that the tubes are too thick (---> also heavy too) for the weight that can withstand hard top.

the second point i will like that the support of the rack stay on the hard top

and the icing on the cake it will be really good that we could drag on and set the top T under the rack

hope u understand my bad english

Jimbo,

We did not have to change any of the interior brackets so I didn't post any pictures of them. This is just a few raw shots to give you an idea of the 4 piece design.

We have put thousands of miles on the initial rack and have had it on an off nearly a dozen times. No stress, no cracks, no deterioration what so ever. The majority of the weight (which isn't much) is actually sitting on the tub with the inner brackets supporting it.

The rack is actually not that heavy at all. I will see if I can get a total weight for you shortly... Most of the weight is not going to be sitting on the top because the brackets support it from inside the Jeep. These brackets mount right to the tub.

Here is a pic to give you an idea:
