I'd pay your full MSRP for that Bad@ss looking rack If I knew the answers to all that. But I guess that is part of the reason your offering the intro price.

MaloCS,

Thank you for taking the time to ask some excellent questions. I can see that you are very interested in our product and want to know what you are getting. I want to be completely honest and upfront with everyone interested in our brand new roof rack.

This rack was designed and built by our highly skilled design team who utilized the shape, strength and durability of the jeep and constructed a rack that compliments the JK while not compromising the hard top. This rack was built as a prototype, and then done up in CAD to help test the strength of materials, stress points, rigidity and functionality.

The initial prototype was taken to SEMA this year and had some excellent reviews. At this time, we realized that there was a demand for a rack such as ours, and have been working on ways to make it both easy to install, and strong enough to withstand the abuse that jeeps can be known for.

The testing done on the rack is ongoing, from the seals, to the amount of stress the hardtop can withstand. With a 200lb man jumping up and down on the rack, the top is so solid the weight is being transferred into the suspension and tires. The downward forces are being supported by the brackets sitting on the tub, and the side to side movement is next to impossible due to the square design which connects both sides of the rack to the tub as well.

Overall, we stand behind our products 110% and are confident that this is going to go through as much real world testing as we can throw at it. On a side note, for those interested in pre ordering…I want to make it completely clear…if you are not satisfied with our results at any time up to when these racks are ready to ship, there will be NO CHARGE made to you until the product has left our facility.

Thank you for your interest. I look foreword to showing everyone what kind of products and service we are known for.

Feel free to ask further questions at any time. I would be happy to answer anything you may be interested in knowing.

Based on the way this rack looks to be designed, it seems that you could probably safely use it to hoist the top off the jeep. Is this something you guys have considered, and if so, would you consider actually making a hoist point at the top's center of balance so that a person removing the top could simply snap into one spot and lift the thing off?

Depending on what accessories you have attached to the rack it may be difficult to get a balancing point that works for everyone. I think being about to slide a tow strap under it would work perfect because its flat and you can adjust it from the front to the back to find your perfect balancing point.

Default Soft Top?

Would buy a soft top version of your rack today!

It would be great to see one similar to this on e shown at SEMA, but your design looks more functional.

Love what I've seen & read about the rack. My concern is wind noise. That's a lot of tubing.

I just found the thread and I am VERY interested in a rack for a soft top 2 door. I have a RTT on my Chaser Trailer and I have been thinking about being able to move the tent back and forth. My tent weights about 150 and I am a bit over 210, is such a rack being thought of or in the works because as I said I am VERY interested and I have a friend who has a 4 dr with the hardtop and is also interested in moving his tent back and forth.
Thanks,
Steve

These are sitting only 3.5" above the factory hard top and wind noise is not an issue. We hear our tires over anything else. The MBRP exhaust can be heard when you're really getting into it, but otherwise, it's all road noise.

This rack is undetectable unless you're looking at it from the outside. Excellent question though!

At this time this rack was not designed for the 2 door or for the soft tops. As for your friends 4 door hardtop, a 350lb tent and person would be no issue for this rack. We have had guys jumping on it and the suspension is absorbing the impact through the tub. The hard top does not budge.
