I ordered these from Crutchfield last night. When they get here, I'll take pictures and do what I can for a write up.

Got them from Crutchfield. They were on my doorstep yesterday when I got home and it took me all of 45 minutes to install. There really isn't a good way to do a write up as this is a very straight forward install. The kit comes with everything, brackets (free), harnesses (free), and speakers. Anyone can do this install.

Cost out the door was about $77.00

3 Torx hold the stock speaker grilles in place.
4 washer/nut combo's hold the new Kicker speakers to the adapter plates.
The long tab on the adapter plates needs to be drilled/dremeled out a tiny bit to line up with the holes in the sound bar.

Do that, plug them in, screw your factory grilles back on and the new speakers are installed.

The difference is not night and day. However, you can now tell that you have speakers in your sound bar. They are still very limited and not performing near desierable but they are noticeable enough to enjoy.

Did you buy 2 ohm speakers or 4 ohm? Do you have an infinity system? If so the 2 ohm would give you louder sound due to the infinity amps 2 ohm design. If you have the stock system without infinity 4 ohms will work but you wont hear a lot of change due to the underpowered headunit.

I'm not sure. I'll have to go and check that out. I don't have the premium sound system (amp & sub) just the standard speaker/head unit. These would sound great with an amp.

Aren't the two systems exactly the same as in the head unit and 4 speakers, the difference is with/without the Infinity sub?

Okay, so, if I have the Infinity Premium sound system, would I be better off getting 2 ohm speakers? Or 4 ohm speakers? Crutchfield has a number of options in 6.5 in speakers for the JK and I am wondering which would be my best option for replacement.

My sound bar speakers didn't sound too bad until I did the recall to get rid of my popping and crackling. Now the sound is almost non-existent. If I can remedy this with new sound bar speakers then I will go that route. Otherwise, I'm thinking of having the dealership "reverse" the service to bring back the original settings. The popping was a small price to pay for the MUCH better overall sound I had from the factory.

I have the Infinity premium system. What is the opinion of the board, should I buy the Kicker factory replacements or some other brand like Polk's db651s from Crutchfield?
