So do these same speakers plug into the front two speakers as well. If they are the same size, why are they only being pushed for the sound bar?
I may be stupid.

I was told that the front speakers are mid range speakers and really do not benefit from any type of upgrade - so no money was spent in development of adapter rings/harness to swap them out. If there is enough demand I'm sure it will be done.

No, you shouldn't need to disconnect the battery. Just turn off the vehicle's stereo system.

The one from Quadratec comes pre-wired with 2 metal adapter plates so the speakers can fit into the soundbar. Without these plates, I'm not sure how we can install them because the speaker sizes are little different than the original ones. The installation was easy, there are 2 options that you can choose; one without the factory grills and one with them (although it did not say in the instruction, but I chose to do it with the factory grills on). Just simply unscrew the factory grills, install the new speakers into the adapter plates, plug in the plastic thingy, and screw them back in along with the grills into the soundbar. Hope that helps.

I must be one also. I have a 4 door and it sounds fine to me, minus the sounds bar speakers so I'm interested in these.

I just installed these in my Rubi. They are a huge improvement over the so called "premium Infinity" sound bar speakers. Even with the limited power provided by the factory amp, they sound much better.

I'm guessing that when they made the decision to limit power to the sound bar, they also decided to use junk speakers since no one could hear them anyways...
