I been looking up some of the posts here, my question is....how much different are the IPF compared to:

Thank you

Link to a non-sponsor vendor site, i had to edit it out as far as clickability, but anyone can still cut/paste it if they want to, see our FAQ's

I noticed some buyers purchased a spare bulb or 2. Are the bulbs anything special? Can I get them locally? I didn't think about spare bulbs when I placed my order and am expecting a normal/long life from them. Please comment David.

That kit is a waste. Yes, it gives you HIDs, which you can get for as little as $100 through Japanese web sites...BUT - First off, they are illegal. Second off, they only upgrade the bulbs and not the housing. The housing is the biggest problem with the JK because it directs light in such a narrow beam that they are pieces of shit. So, if you went with the Fortec kit you would have really bright light but still in the narrow beam pattern. Not to mention that cops can spot illegal HIDs from miles away...if you've seen them, you'll know. They blind everyone else which may not bother you driving, but it will bother everyone else. People run these in the JK, but for my money there is no way I would throw $180 into illegally upgrading lights that are still no good.

They are just H4 bulbs which you can get at any auto parts dealer, I think some people got spare bulbs just for convenience. These should last a while as is.
