Fog lights are meant to have a yellow hue to them. It's what cuts through the fog. You don't want white fog lights. Having said that, the bottom lights on the JK aren't really fog lights. They're driving lights. There is no advantage whatsoever in fog when using these lights.

This is "the"bulb that the kit should come with (stock wattage)

Anyone want to buy a set of the bulbs that my kit came with? New in box.
Were the Phillips Xteme bulbs H13s, or still H4s?

Thanks for the correction. My apologies for using the incorrect term, driving lights are correct. Seeing as I use these driving lights regularly on unlit country roads it's just nice having them the same colour as the headlights. In using the Sylvania bulbs the light is in the same colour spectrum and the driving lights enhance the headlights, which is what they are supposed to do. Maybe it's my age, or my eyes, but I see much better with the Halogen bulbs than the Xenon. For the sake of the $23 it cost me for the pair of Sylvania bulbs, and the cost of the IPF 920H4 kit, I couldn't be happier with my lighting now

If anyone is interested in purchasing my pair of bulbs that came with the IPF kit pm me. They were only used for about 30 minutes during testing.

The bulbs provided with the IPK 920H4 kit are in fact halogens.

LOL... ok. I can see better with lighting in the 3200k (yellowish) range better than I do with lighting in the 4000+ (White/Blue) range.

They are 'fog lights' due to using the standard 'fog light' icon on the control stick, and being referenced as 'fog lights' in the instruction manual.

Sorry, either your information is pretty much in error or you have been badly misinformed.

First, the lower lights on the JK are! fog lights. At least that's the symbol on the dash when you turn them on!

Second, yellow is not the best light for fog lights. According to a brochure from KCHilites back in the early 1970s, they said yellow fog lights originated from England. They were yellow because (I am pulling this from memory, so I may not have all the fact correctly recalled!) at that time they were low wattage (amperage?) whichg produced a yellow glow.

Think about what you need for fog lights, or that matter any forward facing lamp. You need something that will allow you to see farther. WHite is considered "pure light." It's 100 percent transmission. If you place any color over that same white bulb, you have now decreased the amount of light being transmitted.

If you want to check this out, I'd do a Google search for "Daniel Stern Lighting" and fog lights. His article (don't have the exact URL right now) is very interesting!

I just installed cibie lenses with stock wattage bulbs & a jumper harness I made from sockets I bought.

LET THERE BE LIGHT!!!

Finally, I can see the road! it's just amazing how crappy the stock lights are. amazing.

oh, and fog lights are low & wide to light the road & sides of road during fog, driving are far and narrow in beam. Fog light color is debatable & somewhat subjective.
