Humm...that might explain why I really do not see much difference other than they are not as yellow now. The lens also sits a bit loose and shakes when the retainer ring is as tight as possible. Have a temp fix in there now but will run a bead of RTV inside the retainer to snug it up. I have a set of PIAA bulbs that I'd like to try but need to find a H13 adapter.

Only had mine a few months and the glass has already chipped.

Oh well, I liked them while they lasted.

I was impatent when these were first coming out so I went and picked up hella tj ecode lights... I spent about 10min with nedle nose pliers and an exacto knife to clearance the passenger side bucket around 2 of the posts the driver side one just dropped in. As to the wireing I found a Chinese h13-h13 harness with relays for cheep and cut off the bulb end and soldered on some h4 ends. My stock harness is untouched. Works perfectly and took about 2h total jus because it was about -10c out

i did something similar i went with cibié ecode from daniel stern and made my own adapters by purchasing ends from the internet. all i know is that the beam is so precise and the light is great with only 55 watt bulbs. i'm very happy

I was so stoked about the beam pattern and how much light the hellas put out with the 55w bulbs they came with I upgraded to 100w... since more of a good thing is always better and still no one flashes me even after putting in the OME lift...

Thumbs up Thanks for the thread!

Folks, thanks for the thread. Based on all the input also upgraded to the IPF set up on my 2010 Unlimited. What a dif! My only recommendation would be more detail around the "indexing" It took me a few minutes to get the new lenses to line up and still wasn’t real sure they were in correctly! But they made it and WOW!

Also, to the prior reply, going to 100w was not recommended in my instruction sheet as there was a concern the wiring harnesses aren’t up to the task! Please let folks know as things progress and if there’s a need to upgrade extinguishers on board!

Drove the wife's JKU with the new lights last night and ... they didn't seem any better in the rain at night . Although I installed them for her almost two months ago this was the first time driving it in dark, rainy city streets. I actually had to run the stock bumper lights as well to see properly.

Is there something I'm missing here? Did I need to re-aim the lights? Or is there some other trick required? The lights do indeed throw a whiter light but my YJ's Sylvania Silver Stars had better range and output (compared them side-by-side after getting home last night).

Appreciate any input - thanks guys.

When I installed my replacement lights, both lights needed a significant amount of adjustment before they were properly aligned. Once aligned, the new lights are a huge improvement over the POS stockers.
