Has anyone had problems installing the skid plate? In the instructions it gives the option to either remove the crash bar or trim 7/8" from either side. I originally wanted to just trim, but when I tried to fit the plate, it was actually hitting the lower section of the crash bar supports. I didn't see how trimming would fix the interference. So I wound up cutting the supports above the bar and removing the bar. No big deal, just wondering if anyone else ran into this. Maybe they changed the design for the 2012s or something??
The bumper and skid plate go to powder coat today and pick up tomorrow.
I'll post pics when i get em.

The crash bar is one of those little things Jeep just won't leave alone. It seems each new model year they change it slightly. The Brawler Lite and its skid was originally designed around the 2007 JK. Slight modifications to the crash bar each year have made it one of those things that you'll just have to "trim to fit". Some model years needed the sides of it trimmed, some need the bottom shaved, etc. Honestly we recommend just cutting the damned thing completely off, as it really has no purpose once you've installed the skid. We did not see the constantly-changing crash bar as a significant enough reason to re-design the skid for each model year. However, I could perhaps be a bit more diligent in updating the instructions to clarify that issue a little better. My apology for the confusion.
Looking forward to my next PSC product.
I would suggest cutting it off completley. That's what I did. I didn't realize how many hits it took until I looked at it good. Don't have the Jeep in front of me but I would say you gain a good 3 inches of approach from just cutting it off.
