There hasn't been anything new about the hood louvers (the subject of this thread) for a while now. Were you thinking of some other product we're working on?

 

Your website says the new louvers no longer have the words "poison spyder" and just has the spyder logo

I emailed a vendor to purchase. Although he wasn't aware of any redesign, he thinks it has to be the new ones because he just got a batch in from you. However, he was unable to check for sure

I didn't want to purchase from him because he couldn't confirm

I think the one made for a TJ just has the Logo & not the lettering. I've seen several people who have installed it on a JK.

 

I can confirm the "new" design has the spyder only...no lettering. Just installed mine today.

Any damage to the hood bolts when removing hood? I know they are painted and I am concerned with how they look after removed and replaced. Does the paint crack or leave any noticeable markings?

 

If you remove the cowl you can take the hood off from there and leave the hinges mounted to the hood.

 

If he recieved a shipment of them recently they will be the version with just the Spyder logo but without the words Poison Spyder. That change happened quite a while back.

 

Yes, its unavoidable. It is minimal, at least in my case.. so they won't look "bad". Get a small bottle of touch up paint at the dealer or elsewhere and you'll be good.
