no the screw covers were not included . its only been on a few days now , i live in a rather cold climate anyway, so not such a concern of mine it was mostly looks with that added benefit of heat loss in summer months here. Im glad i got it now , ive been eyeballing it since 2012 lol and been on the fence myself . But it was time to just do it. ( no regret ) I couldnt decide if i liked the screws silver or not but im sure now i prefer the black look

im sure it will have some drawbacks and will need to be addressed on snow storms and washing with power washers . But hey
you kinda know this going into it. Anyone who says no issue is lying . They are louvers. just like i find it hard to believe it can be installed in less than 4 hours lol (id like to see the results in real time video of this)
unless youve done it before and knew exactly what to do to make it go fast. otherwise dont count on that time frame
Bottom line is i love it on there it enhanced the looks of the hood 100% and serves a good function
it looks awesome from inside the cab too.

I installed mine back in July of 2013. It still looks great! I used used Rustoleum gray primer along with their spray on bed-liner. The template that it comes with is perfect! As long as you follow directions it's quite simple. This was the first install I did on my Jeep that required any cutting (I bought an angle grinder/cutter just for this install). It was a bit nerve racking at first but just make sure everything is lined up, your holes are drilled and go for it! Once that first cut is made there's no turning back!
I haven't had any problems with it at all. I just have to watch out a bit when I'm washing or drying it as the edges of the louvers love to snag wash mitts or towels. The finish has held up to my electric pressure washer just fine. That bed-liner is tough stuff! I think the desert sun is just starting to get to it though.
I don't have any special gauges hooked up but I can see lots and lots of heat coming out of the vents when stopped. Heat dissipation is nice but we all know why we really bought it....because it looks cool!!

Ok ive had the hood louver on for a few days now maybe a week , last night we got a heavy rain , this morning i lifted the hood .
lots of water , i mean lots. and as i lifted the un wiped hood of the vehicle , all the water that was either built up in x bracing from rain , holding it like a tray and surface rain on the hood that water started to flow in from upper vent louvers near windshield was very alarming . I started to try and wipe it all , but was then just
The only good side to this post is that i do have a car port i can park under for most of the year when im not using it . Im going to need to address this problem with some type of cover now when its not under a roof during heavy rain . Im very surprised no one mentioned this in the thread of near 40 pages from 2012 up to date . Granted it was indeed a heavy rain but its alarming how much water was allowed into the engine bay .. When hood was being lifted alone it was like pouring a soda bottles worth
looks Awesome , but im definitely un- satisfied with the water everywhere under there !! And not sure how im going to prevent more of this ridiculous water flow , ( its still raining) so i got it under the carport . But this is lame considering most everyone said not a issue including ps in previous posts in this thread .
