Late as usual for me, but what I would like to see in a Tuffy console is:

1. An enlarged cargo area
2. (Like the older YJ consoles) An interior light in the cargo area
3. Pre-cut areas for after market switches and/or gauges
4. I'd like the console top to be accessible from the rear seat (in other words, I'd like to be able to open the console from the front and from the rear)
5. A larger divider to keep change from getting caught in the auto shifter channel
6. The interior of the stock cargo area has a small ledge that some have used to install an iPod. I would like to see this "ledge" area enlarged to pocket size.

 

This seems like a bad strip tease

 

Another bump.....still waiting. Any chance this will fit with suspension seats in? I know the center console now won't fit with aftermarket seats unless you get rid of the console itself....

Not a lot of new info but we are still working out details. I know everyone is growing impatient, but we need to make sure that what we come up with for a final product is a good one and something that we can manufacture in our facility at a reasonable cost. Just when we thought designs were pretty much finished up, we came up with what seems like a better idea for the padded armrest. I will try to get some sketches or design drawings posted in the next couple of days, so people have an idea of what things will look like. One of the things that is taking a little longer is the fact that we are trying to design one model that will hold a CB or stereo and one model that will be all storage. If we had all day to work on the console we would be done for sure, but this darn phone keeps ringing

Pardon me if I am repeating myself, but I would like a "plain jane" overhead security console with 2 compartments for GPS, pistol, etc...don't need a cubby hole for a cb or anything electronic.

 

You can unplug the phone....
