Suggestions for Tuffy full console
We are finally settling back into working on the JK Console. We summarized all of the suggestions from the forum and will incorporate as many of the reasonable ideas as we can. The first model will be a Series II style and will not have a place to mount a stereo. It will most likely be taller that the factory one, have a longer armrest surface, maximize the storage space and have drink holders. We are looking into the possibilities of electrical outlets, switch mounting areas, etc.. Should have a prototype shortly.

The new Tuffy website looks good by the way.
x2 on the Mygig cover for theft / rain. I think everyone with mygig will buy one if it handles that, as my single biggest worry is being doorless in the summer with mygig. sure, i have insurance, but the peace of mind would be nice.
Light inside.
Matching arm rests for doors.
No cup holders fancier than you have ever made.
Any way to move the 4x4 shifter right a little?
Khaki powder coat.
Removeable plates for shifter area (switch from auto to manual).

2.) Not sure about matching armrests for doors as this is not our specialty, but maybe. Check Misch 4x4
3.) Cup holders will be similar to other Tuffy models
4.) I don't think there is anyway to move the shifter without modifying mechanical parts (i.e. linkages, etc.) which we try to stay away from.
5.) Khaki powder coat will be available
6.) The shifter area is causing us some real headaches. They are different for the manual and auto but we really want to make one part number fit both. Will see what we can come up with.
We haven't given up on the MyGig/Stereo cover but it has proven to be more difficult than we originally thought. We have some ideas still, just need to work them out.
