Good morning,
I'm happy to announce that we're beginning to send out our first shipments of the new Truck-Lite LED Headlamps. The lamps have gained slight performance and cosmetic improvements in their last steps of design and production, and I'm attaching a new lineup photo below, along with a pattern comparison of the 7" round models vs. the stock system. The 5"x7" model (27450C), our first LED option for the rectangular applications, is now in stock and shipping to distributors. The 7" round model is due to begin shipping within a week or two.

The power draw on the both lamps is 1.8a (low beam), 3.6a (high beam). They feature the same H4 connector as our 27250C model, and also have polycarbonate lenses, die cast housings, and sealed circuitry. The pattern is a much smoother, stronger pattern than that of the 27250C, and offers a cleaner, reflector-based appearance, with a darkened, blackout look.

How long do they last? Will they last 5+ years like many of the oem headlights?

 

These are designed to far outlast conventional headlamps. Our LEDs are solid-state systems, with sealed circuitry, and are much more resistant to damage from vibration and impact. There's no filament to burn out, and they offer pure white light output. We've deployed over 350,00 white LED lighting systems to the US military, and they've made it through severe situations.

If you have clean wiring connections, and no issues with wiring corrosion, these will be the last of your worries.
