Just got finished installing mine. Everything went smooth, and the packaging was great. ( I also had all the weather strips )Mine took a little longer to install because I have the Woods door shock, I had to cut a notch to clear it. I also got the tie down pieces and installed them.

Awesome product Tuffy!

thanks for the pictures preacher.. i was waiting to make a decision until i saw it in a 2 door.

looks good.

one question though, do you think that it will affect how low the soft top lays when it is folded down? just curious.

thanks

My top is in the garage so I can't say for sure, but pictures I have seen of other installs tell me that it WILL hold the folded top higher than without the box.

Did a little work on mine today.

I bought a rubber floor runner and cut it up to fit. Going to use rubber cement and glue it down tomorrow.

By adding a washer here

It gives you enough thread space on the inside that you can install bolts to act as tie-down points for heavier items like coolers etc. I used 3/4" bolts and a washer, it leaves 1/4" of thread between the head and the wall of the deck to attach a hook.

I also bought some rings and rivetted them to the rails to use as tie-downs for light items. You can see in the pictue above that there is enough room for rivets to clear as long as you place the hook near the inside edge.

It's great to see the pictures. The 2 doors still have a little area for something to put behind the seat for easy access.

I picked up a cheap tent light to put in the back. It has magnets so it stays mounted to the inside wall. Thought it'd be helpful for trying to dig for something in the dark.

Got my replacement rubber spacers for the lid studs today. Don't think I have ripped one of the first ones, but thanks for sending out some replacements.

i just ordered one of these directly from Tuffy on 6-29-09 and got an email saying that they are on back-order and expected ship date is 8-22-09.

i was hoping for something from them so much sooner but it looks like it is worth waiting for. when the doors and top are off, jeeps can be an easy target for thieves and vandals.

i already have the radio protection cover from Tuffy and i luv it and when i order the Rock Hard Cage i hope they dont hit each other-that tray on top is quite useful.

We are hoping that we may be able to beat that date but giving a worst case scenario just in case. Because of the popularity of the Security Deck Covers, we tripled the size of the last batch to try and keep some stock but still sold out before even finishing the run. Sorry for the backorders on these but we are working some overtime to try and get everything caught up. My suggestion to anyone considering ordering a Security Deck Cover is to get your order in to us or a dealer ASAP because at this point no one is able to keep enough stock where you can just get one right away.
