Only two bends. One on the Drivers side flange that goes under the seat bolt. The other is ding in the front edge of the lid. It is behind the rear seats, so not too big a deal.
All that said, I love the deck. Looks like I will have room to put some quickfists in the front panel, low, behind the seats to hold my Max Ax. Oh the possibilities.

Putting the axe or standard shovel back there is a great idea!

I just wanted to say thanks to Northridge4x4 and David for their professionalism and quick delivery. I took delivery on Thursday and was able to install yesterday. It took about 50 min's, which included stopping for something to drink

No problems at all. The only issue I had was with the Deck Lid where it meets the tailgate; at each corner or edges just above the seal strip the paint had small stress cracks and will flake off eventually. Other than that I'm very Happy

If Anyone is thinking of getting one, you can't go wrong by ordering from Northridge4x4

When I got the box, it was really beat. I could see metal poking through the cardboard and there was obvious damage. There was a couple of pretty good tweaks to the metal. Then I got to thinking "what's with the unpainted metal??" When I opened the box, I was relieved to find out that Tuffy wraps things up in sheet metal! It was the throw-away stuff that took all of the damage. Actually, not throw-away but "future project fodder".

No problems with the install. A couple of bent parts but nothing that couldn't be straightened out.

The only thing I'm going to have to work is the places where dust can get in. There on holes on the side, and the seal to the rear gate - well, doesn't. The rear gate is curved and the lid is straight, so there's a pretty good gap in the middle. I tried to adjust the seal a bit, but it comes off the lid before it makes contact with the tail gate. Not sure why Tuffy made a straight line try to line up with a curved edge. Cheaper to manufacture, I suppose. You can get an idea of the gap in the picture.

Even with the dust entry ports (and rain too, but I expected that), I like having the security for my trail tools. And really, the cover protects from the weather a LOT better than having nothing!

Default Happy happy?

Everyone still happy with the deck?
We were considering an interior rack but this looks more practical.
Thanks

Not to digress, but there's a better place than a pocket for those condoms. Whatever floats your boat.

Back on topic - I would rate the security deck in the top mods I've done. I feel secure keeping the tools and misc crap locked up. The deck lid adds more storage options. The under-deck area keeps 80% of the dust and rain off (it's not weather tight, but what is in the Jeep?). I get many compliments on the deck. Yup, very happy. But not has happy as a condom, well, that's for a different forum.

Love mine. I've had a few rattles, but nothing I couldn't make disappear. I dont have a lot of mods, but this one is tops.
