What am I looking at? Is it a piece that is going to replace that side cowl piece? How would a snorkle tube come up without interfereing with the window light brackets that everyone has?

They're experimenting.

Since Rugged Ridge has their own light brackets and so many people have lights there, I'm sure they will come up with something that goes below and/or to the side of them.

He just wanted to show us that they are going the cowl route that so many of us like.

if you go with my [whisper voice] hummer snorkel [\whisper voice] does that mean I get a prototype for evaluation purposes?

I'll give you guys very detailed thoughts on it, heck I'm in the PR field, I'll make it look real good for you to this forum and the others that I'm on!

Need input on where lower intake should take in the air...

I would like it to be just below the passenger wiper outbound of the hood hinge but before the side cowl. The design would be slighty taller than the hood liner and still allow the w/s to be lowered and lower w/s light mounts to be used.

The other option would have the intake located at the side cowl and would have the intake possible blocking the w/s ligth bracket or sticking out the side slightly.

For me it's more function than form at this time. The first location allows better water protection as the bow wave is less likely to travel to that spot.

The reason the question is even being asked has to do with tooling and final product cost.

Just let me know if I need to make a road trip to GA for some R & D . I'll camp in your parking lot if I have to

Seriously though (though that offer is serious if I'm still unemployed), thanks again to RR for taking our input.

And yes, inboard of the W/S light brackets would be great.

I'm assuming that there is, in fact, enough room to run a tube alongside the fuse box and battery and through the first firewall and make a 90 deg curve in the cowl area. Looks like it, but of course I haven't cut mine up yet!

Agreed, though I'm not concerned with letting the windshield down I do like the Light Bracket being an option and I'm planing on a RR light bar so that has to work to and I know it will.
