What would you like in a snorkel design?
OK.... OK.... I have to give you guys something without giving anything away. I think this early concept art might do the trick. It shows what has already been discribed. Please let us know your thoughts.

I dont think that this Hummer is a sin. Its a VERY capable vehicle comes on 37's, has an approach angle of something like 54 degrees. The military version is bad ass.
Its the H2's and H3's you have to worry about..

WANT!
In the next few weeks you will find two of my paychecks and my first born in your mailbox. I will hurry and crank out another kid if needed for it to come in factory colors and send him/her to you as soon as they are trained.
Thank you.

It looks great so far!!!
1. Are you looking for a prefilter option for the "base" model snorkel (witch sits only a few inches above the hood) or is it only for the higher snorkel?
2. You guys need a simplistic prefilter option like you said and I think the humvee snorkel is a great one. It is very simple and would look great on the JK. There are alot of people in agreement on here too.
3. Also, you said you want to make the snorkel look like it came from the factory. I think that you guys either need to offer the snorkel in prepainted factory colors as an option or offer it in a paitable version. I have a Sahara and know that having a black snorkel (which appears to be molded into the JK body like your sketches show) would not look good. As long as the material that you plan to use could be painted then it would be fine. Otherwise, I think you need to offer an option that allows for paintability.
4. With the "lower" snorkel option, which has the intake that sits a few inches above the hood, isn't there a risk of water flowing down the hood directly into the intake if the JK was parked on an incline. Wouldn't snow accumulate on the hood, clogging the intake and then melt directly into the intake?
Just some thoughts I had. I can't wait to see what you come up with!!! Thanks for letting us voice our opinions.

AGREED! ^^^
I literally look at this thread every day seeing the new ideas that come out (and any additional sneak peaks from RR
)
I really think the snorkel should be the basic model which has been picture (i was wondering about snow and sucking water too!)
The mid model should be a few inches higher than the basic model with a prefilter
Then the high model is the more traditional snorkel look which takes it up to the windshield.
I have a sahara as well, and i totally agree with the paintable surface.
Appreciate RR taking in all the interest of its customers...
SUPER EXCITED!
Cheers
