What would you like in a snorkel design?
I cannot recommend anyone installing a $$ Supercharger and then restricting the air flow. The snorkel has been designed around a stock intake system. I supercharger needs more air and requires an intake that has the least amount of restriction (air flow path) to the charger... I would suspect that they would tell you the same thing regardless of the snorkel manufacture or how it is routed to the intake.
Soooo the short answer is no... We do not recommend it from the stand point that it does not make sense. Sorry to say this but I do not like seeing people flush good money down the drain.
Buy the way I think they put together a good video showing the results of a snorkel attached to their system. Sorry I do not have the link.
Spoke to the Ripp guys some time back and I agree with them ... Any snorkel hooked up to a supercharger does not make sense.....Got to ask why?

Sounds like you are saying that this won't be possible at all though.

Basically, my goal was to have the snorkel on at all times, but not have it connected unless I needed it. I do have the roof rack so all of the other snorkels I have looked at, would not work. I dig your design and will be very interested in purchasing it, however, I wanted the option to switch back and forth from the regular intake to the snorkel when needed. Really, that wouldn't be too difficult I guess, remove the filter on the supercharger and use a jumper intake hose to the snorkel.
I am sure I could come up with something in my workshop if you guess don't provide the option for it.
Thanks for the answer and the consideration.
I agree with you that hooking up a snorkel on a long term basis does not make sense. It takes massive amounts of power away with the supercharger. However, being able to switch between the regular intake and then being able to switch to the snorkel quickly for any water crossing does make sense. The supercharger would take water in because of the open design on the intake. From talking with a few people, the supercharger is very sensitive to water coming into the intake, more so than the stock airbox.

Hey RR guys!! I am in the market for a snorkel, honestly right now i like River Raiders the most...BUT i am really liking your idea a lot more because of the possibilities with light bars (wich i am looking for too)... So, do you have an estimate date for taking orders? Any new pics? I can wait if i can plan my move with an estimate date. Thank you in advance
hahaha, looking at the time stamps, I was writing while you were posting. Well at least we know there are 2 that need the same thing. I really think that all people that run the RIPP would be interested in this. Maybe I'll buy and work something out in my workshop and send you the writeup if RR doesn't come up with something for this.

can't wait to see this in stores!!
