Pretty sure they said this wouldn't be available for consumer purchase till at least mid Sept if not later. I'm waiting patiently, but putting money towards other improvements for the Summer.

From Rugged Ridge's posts #854 & 856:

Working to get the first manufactured prototype as soon as possible. Current lead time places it late summer at best. Will be a SEMA release item this year for sure. We will not be doing an official roll out until then but should already have the items in stock by that time (Late September - October)

The cost was asked to be below $450 and if under $400 than even better. The way it looks "now" (if nothing changes) we should be able to hit the $400 and under and also include a lot in the kit that was not expected.

i dont understand the lower version of the snorkel. how much higher is it then stock air intake?

I don't know how higher it is, but the way i see it is: for not being a tall snorkel, you will be safer in the case you submerge the front of the jeep and the water/mud don't get to your windshield.
