Default $150.00 Freedom Top!!!

I recently bought a JK jeep freedom top for 150.00 dollars the only issue with the thing is there is no back glass or hinges. I was wondering if anyone out there had parts or knew where I could get parts.

Good luck. It's about $900 for a new back glass from the dealer. But that's still only $1000 for a top, not to bad of a deal.

You could try making your own out of plexiglass or lexan. Lexan is expensive but not 900 dollars expensive, it is stronger than plexiglass but scratches far more easily. You would lose rear defroster and if you added the rear wiper it would scratch that much faster. You would just have to fabricate a gasket/trim piece for the bottom of the glass that the tailgate would seal against. You can get replacement hinges from the dealer. At the very least this may be an option until you come accross a used piece of glass or until aftermarket glass prices drop.
Plus if you can find someone willing to let you remove theirs, trace it, and reinstall, you would have an exact match. I just saw an episode of power block that said you neef a blade with at least ten teeth per inch to cut lexan but you should double check that yourself.
Good luck and nice find.

I really don't think I'd be recommending insurance fraud on an open forum. Know what I mean, Vern?

Like they don't put the screws to us and make enough money off of us.

I think I might have to agree put some broken glass in the back and save some money!

Of course I would never do that! HA HA

I have one sitting in my garage, but I don't think it will be easy to ship.
