Took my Jeep in yesterday for this issue. Probably the quickest appointment I have ever had at the dealership. Pulled up, walked inside, reexplained the issue, they came right out and said its your water pump. They placed one on order and I left. Less than 5 minutes and I was gone. Now lets see how long the part takes to arrive.

 

I just picked my 13 JKU up from the dealer to have the axle seal replaced at 10k miles. Now today I just noticed the water pump noise at idle! Wish I would of heard it sooner so I could of had them replace both! Looks like ill have to make another appointment....for a new vehicle with only 10k it sure has been at the dealer a lot!

 

I hear you man, I just got my axle seal replaced last week on my 13 jku w 11000 miles, and my water pump is chirping lol aaaand just got a letter for a recall for the transmission oil cooler tube lol

 

New Water Pump was installed by the dealer and the chirping (wee wee wee) noise now appears to be resolved. Time will tell...

 

Had my water pump replaced yesterday. Had a strong odor of antifreeze that lasted 3-4 hours after I got it home. Checked and didn't see any leaks or puddles. Anyone else have this happen when they picked theirs up?

 

I had a smell also but it went away after about a day. I think fluid dropped and it just ha to burn off.

 

Just picked mine up from being replaced and checked everything over before I left the lot. There was fluid spilled all over the front diff and coolant lines but don't smell anything. That'll evaporate or burn off shortly. That might be where the smell is coming from.

 

That's what i figured, just wondering if anyone else had smelled it also.

 

After driving it again for about half an hour I noticed once I stopped a smell of coolant and slight burning. Hopefully this goes away soon

 

Had the smell too. Didn't get to enjoy it for too long. Was rear ended at a red light on my way home from dealer. Sometimes it's just not your day.
