Default 2017 Factory heavy duty tire carrier question

Hi, getting ready to place an order for a 17 JKURHR, pretty pumped. One option the dealer told me about is a heavy duty tire carrier for around $900. I can't seem to find much info about it and wanted to see if anybody had any info. Plan is to put some 35s on it, so I think I will need to replace the stock one when I do that, just didnt know if this was worth the money? Im guessing this one would work with the HR bumper, so that would be nice.

congrats on your new jeep coming soon. i'd be pumped too! I'd recommend you skip the $900 add for the heavy duty tire carrier. There are so many options for HD carriers that are $200-$300 cheaper. Run the stock one until you get the 35's then upgrade the carrier. You can roll that savings into other accessories...

Good luck.

That price point sounds like the AEV carrier that goes into the bumper you'll have.

For that price you can get a bumper and tire carrier with 2 6 inch lights shipped to the door when some of the distributors run Christmas specials.

That's what I was wondering, but sounds like even then it is a little high. I will take everyone's advise and skip it for later. Thanks!

get the teraflex carrier / hinge then just use the stock carrier. a 35 inch tire fits nice on it.
