Default Shop is confusing me help spend my money

So I have 16 wrangler unlimited sport auto 3.73 gears I just sold my hardtop and have some cash saved up im completely stock except for soft top I bought. I have about 3500 to spend. heres my issue

shop wants to do 3 Inch teraflex(springs, coils, trackbar, stabilizer, exhausts spacer) every thing with tax is 2700. he said I could use my stock wheels and tires with spacers until I upgrade. I plan on 33s so I don't have to regear.

my thoughts were to do 2.5 teraflex lift and buy 33inch tires and put on stock wheels I think this option is 3k.

I will go to badlands to do light trails no rocks

Advice?

Install it yourself, that 3500 could buy you the lift, wheels, and tires.

With change to spare for some barley pops

And I doubt you'll need spacers for 33s. My wife runs KO2s in 33" and no spacers required with no lift.

right now as it stands if I were to do the teraflex 3inch lift and keep my stock wheels and tires I need spacers. it will look silly but the lift would be done and tires would be around corner in 2 months.

I do have some regrets selling hardtop with winter around corner but the soft top seems plenty warm. I need to lift it asap to make that regret go away lol

I doubt you need spacers. As I said. My wife is running no lift, stock rims (17") and 33" tires (KO2) with NO rubbing.

EDIT - rubicons have 32s... moving to a 33 isn't an issue... if you went to a 35, then yes.

was planning on staying 33s until I can regear the jeep has 2k miles on it not that hardcore to swap gears yet. currently 3.73 and auto should be plenty for 33s

You can run badlands all day long on 33's and no lift if you are not doing the rock sections. At the badlands gearing will be more important then the lift with all the steep climbs. Lockers will help as well. I ran all over that place totally stock in my sahara on 3.21 for about a year with no issues except for the steep climbs where I had to really ramp up the speed to make it over the top before the motor bogged down.

Your shop does not know what its doing with a JK if they want to put 3.5" of lift to run 33's. Do some flat fenders, 35's and 4.56 gears and you will have a much better set up that will perform better both on road and off. I would not put teraflex on a jeep either. There are better kits and components to go with.

If you are running stock wheels and tires you don't need spacers.

this jeep is such a headache coming from sports car world. just so many different lifts and opinnons. I don't want to do a gear swap for a couple years auto 3.73 im happy. I think it will push 33s easy but not the 35s mostly highway and badlands will be once every couple months.

shop just says the 3 look better and it does shop jeep is unlimited with 3 inch teraflex coils shocks track bar and 35s with 3.21 gears and it drove fine on my test ride.

how ever I feel a 2.5 with 33s would work and be cheap to do the 2.5 and tires for under 3k
