I am wondering if you got this accomplished under your states lemon law or negotiated with Chrysler Customer service. I also would like to know was this your only option? I mean here in NC I hear of lemon law buy-backs where they buy the car back for MSRP no matter what you actually negotiated for.

Back in 09 Patriots of 07-09 were having serious leak issues and I know of three that were bought back that way.

I have not had good experience dealing with Chryslers 800 # (See Challengertalk.com for RANTS) I mean was this an easy negotiabtion? what tier did you get to??

But anyway even though I bought a 2012 with a bad taste in my mouth for Chrysler as a whole -------- I bought another Mopar Product anyway....... then I read about the tick issue 3 days later only after wanting to be all Jeep and join the Jeep forums..... I am just wondering if you were offered anything else or if you even considered wanting anything else. I mean I dont know how else to ask without sounding rude and can feel the bullseye on my back as I type from the true blues out there who been on the Jeep koolaid for years..

Honest opinion So far I like mine and it feels heavy duty plenty of power take off ...........but truth be told had I seen the tick issue before I paid them $28000 (in cash by the way) I would not have given Chrysler a second chance especially on a vehicle with a known issue. Sorry cool or not cool I would not have done it.

I mean I would rather take a beating (and I mean that) then ever have to deal with Chrysler 800 number and it is all the same Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge your gonna get the same team of Canadian call center operators at least on the first few tiersw of calls. I am actually still waiting for a callback from my case manager named Chris for 3 weeks about the car I sold a month ago.. so technically end of next business day is now 7 weeks past......gist+ call never came.. guess my case got closed

Now let the attacks begin!
I don't think anyone's gonna attack you. Those are your experiences with Chrysler, and your right to choose how you will move forward. The attacks will only come when someone takes a simple question and uses that as a reason to impose their opinion on the OP.

Red face

This reminds me of a few years back when I said the same thing about going away from the 4.0 straight 6! Haven't test drove a new one but I'm sure it's better, not by much though according to the numbers! 202 HP for the 3.8L and 232 HP for the 3.6L

Personally though I'm keeping my 08 until Jeep finally makes the right decision and puts a diesel in the Wrangler.

Read the above line chrysler I want a diesel jeep.....diesel jeep.......diesel jeep. LOL

Really ???

Sir I'm terribly sorry to disappoint you but you have been truly misinformed.

Actually I needed a good laugh.

IMO I'm so glad I got the auto with my 12 JKU and the fact I can paddle shift it with the + and -
This way when I want or need the extra performance on my demand I can choose my gear.

Just took alittle getting use to when I first bought it. Going to 1st by accident is a bitch.

Your HP numbers are way off. I'm assuming your talking about rear wheel HP since the 2012 comes with 285. I just had my 2012 dynod and I'm only putting out 205 HP.

I've only got 225 miles on my 2012 Jk Sport. I had a 2009 Jk X with auto tranny. The 2012 has 3.73 gears and a manual. I test drove a 2012 with an auto. So far I am really impressed with the difference in power. I'm also averaging 18 mpg around town. The only time the 2009 got 18 mpg was driving 50 mph on the Natchez Trace for 2.5 hours to Natchez, MS. Other than that, it was 15 mpg in town or highway, plus, on the interstate, the 2009 had to constantly shift to keep it at 70 mph. The 2012 with automatic had a lot more zip, too, and both seem to have much more torque. As long as I don't have head problems, I'll be happy. (Heads had already been changed when I bought it.)

I will be going from the 3.8 to the 3.6 Penastar engine. I would like some feed back on the 3.6 Pentastar and whether going from the 3.8 to the 3.6 made a lot of difference in pulling power and overall performance. Also is the 3.6 a reliable engine? I would appreciate any opinion good or bad.

Also Louisiana has a great lemmon law.
Was it leaking when it rained, or just getting wet in the floor for some unexplained reason? I had a 2003 Nissan Titan, and they had actually run the A/C drain line inside the cab!

I have just over 1000 miles on my 14' JKUR with 4.10s and the engine is leagues better now then that first 500 miles. Way smoother, way more power and zip. Night and day different in a good way.
