So after being at the dealer for 3 days, I'm about ready to pick up my Jeep.

They told me they replaced the "probe" inside the heat exchanger, but they warned me that I'm still not going to be happy. In other words, it didn't fix the problem. Then they told me it was by design, and others (including one of the managers)'s Jeep does the same thing...

So I'm off to pick it up..... We'll see what the verdict is. I might have to go ahead and do the resistor mod .

Just heard back from the dealer and it was I suspected, faulty o-ring at compressor end of a/c discharge line. Have to wait four days as they have to order the new o-rings and are replacing the line as well. At least it is still under warranty. What was funny is I looked all this up in the service manual and described exactly what the problem was with the o-rings and metal gasket in the discharge line at the comressor and was also leaking at retention stud. I even had part numbers. Get the description back on the invoice....."customer states ac blows warm air" I never said anything about that lol, this is why i hate dealerships they dont listen.

Ok, so back from the dealer. It might be slightly better. I can't tell yet. But I'm still not satisfied. I'm going for the resistor mod.

Where is the thermistor? or better yet, where is the heat exchanger? underneath the glove compartment?

No pic. The thermistor is located on the downstream side of the evaporator, inside the HVAC housing.
It can be accessed without any disassemble, by reaching up under the driver's side instrument panel.

Would definately recommend this mod. Makes a huge difference. Throw a resister in parallel with the thermister, and you'll be happy.
