I'm still having trouble with this noise and have some additional data. It appears that I'm getting a glazed rotor. On just the passenger front wheel and only the side of the rotor that faces out. Pads, rotor, caliper/bracket all replaced. No noise for a few days after the new parts and then it comes back as the rotor gets glazed.

A possible is the rubber brake hose, being an 07, the hose might have internal issues and not releasing pressure to the caliper which then causes the stuck piston condition; which causes premature pad wear out and heat.

I think this is a great suggestion. I was planning on replacing those anyway so I'll see if that solves it.

Does your Jeep feel like it is pulling to the right a bit? If so have you touched the rotor (carefully) to see if it is hotter than the driver front? Back to post #1. "wheel hub done for bad sensor". Last time I had a bad sensor on the front was because the wheel hub was done and the sensor was doing its job. A sloppy wheel hub would also bring up similar brake issues as what you describe. I noticed a huge driving difference after I replaced mine.

I just took it for a quick ride. It's hard to say about the pulling and rotor temp. It feels like it pulls slightly to the right however it's not strong enough to be sure. The rotors feel about the same. No smoking gun. One other item is that it tracks inconsistent when hard braking. It will pull fairly hard to the left or stay straight about 50/50.

The shop that did the hub said they thought it wasn't in bad shape. I think that repair solved another issue that I was chasing for a couple of years. Occasional ABS activation for no reason. Dry roads, light braking, slowly approaching a stop sign, etc. No ABS lights or codes. Worse in cold weather. The traction control did the same thing but less often (i.e. straight down a dry road at 35 mph and it started dancing). Hasn't happened since the sensor/hub was done. I'm wondering if the sensor was a problem but not enough to show up as a light or code.

Even though the snesor on the new hubs look different they are the ones to use. Did the shop change the sensor or just install the old one?

They changed the hub and sensor. There was a code for the sensor which is what prompted the replacement of the hub and sensor. I just don't know if it was related to the ABS problems I had before there was a code. Fingers crossed.

I'm replacing the brake hose this week so we'll see if that solves the brake noise issue.

I replaced the hose and the braking is much better so that was definitely a problem. They sanded the pads/rotor to remove the glaze. BUT the noise came back after a few days. There seems to be more brake dust on that wheel than any other. Maybe the brad pads were compromised and sanding them wasn't enough? Is there anything else left that could be causing the pads to rub? Replaced the caliper, rotor, pads, hub, and rubber hose.

Wow that's a lot of replacement. At this point I would be looking at the ABS system and possibly the wheel speed sensor that could cause the ABS system to come on randomly. Is that happening at all?

I did have random ABS issues. Random activation when braking on dry roads. That hasn't happened since the hub/sensor were replaced. They are one unit and it was done to replace the sensor.

I was sure the problem would be fixed after the hose was done. Straight braking returned immediately. No more random pulling when braking.
