I just installed a gibson duel cat back system on my 08 love the look, and the sound is completely different. Real nice low Rumble, but is quite a bit louder.

Good info, but irrelevant to the thread as everyone above has a 12+

Always in perspective. I had a Buell lightning xb12 with a straight pipe that I didn't think was loud. While others thought the stocker was loud. Preference. And, unfortunately, YouTube and the like just don't do sound justice when you are looking for a sound you like.

IMO. motorcycles and V8's sound good loud. V6's sound like crap with aftermarket exhaust. And don't get me started on 4cyl cars with fart cans.build a new exhaust to gain clearance? That's cool. But to be heard? Stupid.

definitely this. At a minimum have to listen to sound clips with headphones to get a rough idea

for tone. But when it comes to decibels, the online vids can't replicate it. The decibels are where the "drone" comes from and often perceived too loud. Maybe I should invent a web browser exhaust duplicator. Hmmm.......

Or we'll just be like BMW and have the exhaust note come thru the car speakers
