Default Anyone purchase TPMS sensors?

I have new tires and I am looking at buying rims and running them during the summer. My question is has anyone bought the sensors? I have read all about the 1 minute chime and then the light comes on. I tried to search for this but there are 50 pages of TPMS. I was just wondering, knowing how cheap I am I will probably never get them but its always nice to know.

I bought new sensors, but they are pretty much worthless. They don't work until you take it to the dealer and have them programmed into the computer. Tried every way I could find to get the Jeep to auto detect the new sensors with zero luck. Just turned off the stupid light via Superchips.

TPMS is a good concept, but ends up causing more problems than it solves. If they were free it isn't worth the hassle to go through this every time you change sensors. Not withstanding the fact that batteries in the sensors only last about 5 years and the sensors have to be replaced. And there's no way to know what sensor is at fault unless you have a very expensive diagnostic tool or go to the dealer.

I figured as much and thanks for the response. What did you buy from superchips and was it worth it? What gains did you see from it? I will probably just roll without it and use my gauge to check my tires. All of the new stuff they put on vehicles just makes people more lazy. My biggest complaint is the dinging that you would hear.

The superchips flashpaq has many features including one that turns off the TPMS warning light. $300 will transform your jeeps performance in minutes. Highly recommend it.

Checking tire pressure is not that big of a deal. Chasing TPMS issues is a huge PITA. I've grown to hate TPMS with a passion that burns hotter than a thousand suns

$300 is a bit high but if its worth its weight in gold. I will check into it and I like the idea that it can disable TPMS. I agree with it being a PITA

I got mine from Matt at Discount Tire (you can PM him on the board) no programming needed just install and you are done. You only need to program them if you want to run a lower pressure.

I must agree that these sensors do not have to be programmed to start functioning.

I just put them in new and they worked fine.

I bought my sensors from a company called Revolution Supply...a quick Google will find them. I've been running them for over a year now without any problems. Nothing had to be reporgrammed.

I'm confused with Revolution Supply. Are those prices a piece or for all 4? I checked it out and its seems like a good deal for 4. If thats a piece I will definately be listening to the chime whenever I start up my jeep
