Well it looks like everything is hooked up correctly and the camera has power. Must be a dead camera. Think I found the same one on Amazon for 20...

Do I hooked up a video camera to the cable behind the glove box labeled camera main input that the current backup camera is plugged into and no luck. So it looks like I'm popping the dash cover off to pull the unit and check connections. At least that's the plan on the next day off. Bummed that it couldn't have been a bit simpler.

Fixing someone else's mess is never easy. That is why they never fixed it. Verify all your video signals first. Is there Video signal from the camera working?

Get a test monitor and and connect to see if you have image.

More the n likely your cables going into the head end are wrong or loose. Find the wiring diagram for your headend prior to pulling the headend. Have a known good Video source like DVD and pump the signal in till you can get an image.

Factory NAV unit? Then it is wired to a mygig lockpick unit. Mostly likely a bad camera. If it still doesn't work you either have a bad connection or the lockpick unit failed.

Likely, the lock pick (LP) unit is somewhere behind the glovebox. Remove it and see and look at the connections there admit is super easy to access.

There is VERY little room behind stock NAV unit so very unlikely the LP is there. It is quite easy when removing/reinstalling the stock radio/Nav unit to have an RCA connector come loose.

could also be that there is no lock-pik the old owner could have removed it and left part of the harness in there. might just need to have the camera activated for the radio. Does the screen go black when you go into reverse?
