My dealer said they are available in BLACK leather with no brown in the interior? Has anyone heard if this is true with NO brown on dash or seats?

 

I could have ordered black leather in my black interior 12 JKR and I have seen pictures of brown leather seats in a 12 with a brown interior.

 

Dealers have the ability to use katskin, which can be order in any color or combinations of colors that you want. Katskin is the only compnay that is autherised to be used by Chrysler for warranty. If any after market company is used and yoiu have a collishion and the air bags don't deploy your SOL, with no recourse to sue Chrysler. As you altered the vehicle with un autherised parts.

 

yes, you cna order black leather form the factory for 2012 with all black interior plastics.

However, if you find one on the dealer lot that does not have it, ass the Katkinz interior and you will have the same seats from the factory. Just make sure they use the heated seat factory switched vs the Katkinz included switches. It will look cleaner on the dash. roughly $1200 installed is what they go for.

 

Have a 2012 Rubi Dozer on order with black factory leather-same price as brown.

Just picked up my 2012 JKU Rubicon today with the Factory Black leather! I'll post some pics tomorrow! Shouldn't get too hot in the summer... You just have to wear long pants and a hooded sweatshirt

I had a black dodge magnum with black leather seats and interior with a split sun roof it got so friggen hot you couldnt touch the stearing wheel without getting burnt let alone sit in it. I had to cover the seats with a towel and use a wheel cover just to drive it I was always hunting for a shady spot to park it . The car looked great but was a real cooker in the summer after that I never wanted another black vehicle but to each there own.
