Are BLACK leather seats available for a 2012 from the factory?

I opted on the deluxe material, less expensive, more color choices, more durable. Mine is a jeep, not a Range Rover or Lexus so i'm not worried about plush

My wife is a pain so I'd rather her be happier with softer seats

If in gonna pay a grand for leather then a few extra won't hurt

And going straight to the installer vs the dealer wanting $1700 for the deluxe installed saving nearly $700 plus heated seats I'm good with that

I'm not into the trail muddin yet but the jeep has been our family lifesaver with fussy young kids and in the spring and cooler summer we have a blast so alittle extra comfort I'm happy with that too

Now the dead heat summer - um yeah well I'll cross that when those days come but you know for whatever reason the cloth seats baking in the dead sun burnt like hell too soo ..............

Anyone know what the deal is with black leather seat availability? ... odd, you can only build a new 2012 JKU with black leather seats if you order it with a 6-speed manual trans. Their website removes the automatic trans if you select black leather option.

Unless the Jeep website and "build it" process is hosed...

Sounds like a website issue. I have one on order.

Black leather is available with an auto, I have a black Sahara with non color matched hard-top (dual top group) and black leather. Got rid of my 92 mustang gt convertible with black leather, never burnt anything in the summers with the top down, just tilt the seat forward when parking....
