Default Bolt Sizes

Bear with me fellas it is over 20 years since I have owned a American made/derived vehicle.

Overall what are the sizes of spanners/sockets you should have in a JK tool kit?

BTW I have already bought a set of Torx Keys

Went through all my tools last night and it is 99% metric, me thinks I need to buy a bit of AF or see the old man to do some swaps.

Thanks
Byrnesy

English sockets: up to 7/8

Metric: up to 21

Torx: up to 50 (to remove the doors)

This should be the minimum for all JK'ers

Rachet wrenches, metric and standard.A good torque wrench too. And a BFH, ductape and zipties.

I agree with the SAE sockets if you do mod's, since most after-market parts have SAE hardware. But, why if the JK is stock? Also, if you do mod's, then you may want to go a wee bit larger on the metric--I recall a 22 mm bolt somewhere a couple weeks ago while installing a 2.5" TF coil lift. Probably on the control arms.

I was a Jedi before. I guess there's no change at 5,000 posts.
