I like both the Boom Mat & Hothead. Right now, I'm leaning towards the HH. I'm wondering who's using tape or Velcro for installation and why?

Looks like Boom Mat also have the side window covers for the 2011+ years.

What I would like to know from the guys who installed the Boom Mat kit, is the look of the mats.. from the Boom Mat website it looks like there is some kind of cloth pattern embossed in the surface which looks O.K. but what about the edges? does that look good?
Anyone got some close up pictures of the Boom Mat with the edges showing?

I used the 3m tape. Didn't see the need, or understand why, for Velcro. It's has been holding great they sent a roll and clear instructions and I had it all installed writhing 30 min. Did read and watch videos for 30 min prior. But was an easy install. Very happy and looks great. This summer will be first test to see how well they work.

So after reading all the posts my question to the guys running boom mat, how is the insulation in the cold? Everyone talks about hot but I'm looking for both. Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure it was rustoleum chalkboard flat paint.....it has held up nicely! almost 2 years later ...still looks great.

Just installed the Boom Mat. Was easy - here are my thoughts.
Noise was reduced somewhat but the new wranglers are rather quiet to begin with. Now the interior is less 'echoey' and I can hear the wind noise more.
It does help with the heat, but my Jeep is black so there is only so much it can do.
The adhesive sticks very well, I can't imagine having any issues.

Note for those who may install the mats with the top still on the jeep (although like stated above you need to raise it six inches or so above the sound bar). Be careful of stretching the foam. The liners are cut well and fit perfectly, but they can stretch if you are not careful (inverting the top as the instructions say would eliminate this issue). When I put the big back liner in, I stuck one side to the top and pushed it up and across to the other side. This stretched it a little so it was too wide (only by a small amount) and left a wrinkle where it ran out of its designated recessed area.
Long story short- if I had fixed the edges in place first, or worked the mat back to front it would be absolutely perfect - although I doubt if anyone will ever notice my blunder.

Default BoomMat

I just ordered the Mopar set at my dealer. They gave me a 10% military discount. Came to $237 with outrageous CA sales tax and the rear window surrounds are included in the kit. Downside to this is in Chrysler fashion, it will take two weeks or more to fill the order. I am positive they are the DEI Boom Mat........
UPDATE
It only took 3 days. I was wrong. it's not boom Mat. Very nice product and does as advertised. It has the same surface as the carpet, with very nice sewn edges and the back side is definitely some sort of foam insulation. Total thickness is about 1/2". Time will tell how well the adhesive strips hold up.
