That sounds like the full meal deal.

Patience, be sure you've got some of that on hand.

Ha ha that's a given.

To update I went to my SMOG station here in CA and asked if there was anyway that he could tell if I was going to pass or not. I told him about the P0430 code and he opened the hood and said it looked to him like the manifolds could be leaking because of the black around the 2 piece seam on the shield and then pointed to the rusted bolts and a little rust in the area. He wasn't trying to sell me on anything but I gotta wonder what he thinks he could tell without removing anything? I'll post a picture in case anytone can actually tell anytthing. Those are covered under my lifetime warranty and my new warranty rear drive shaft is 2 weeks out so I can have them do both at the same time. He then hooked up his scanner and said according to what he could see I had a 90% chance of passing. I then told him to run it. It passed! Super stoked. Still doesn't solve the problem but now I have 2 years to play with it rather than 3 weeks. On the passenger side I have this broken clip for the hoses. Anyone know of a part number? It's resting on the hot exhaust and I want to fix that. Speaking of which, I see conflicting reports about which side is Bank 2 depending on if you are sitting in the drivers seat or standing in front of the truck,

Thanks again for the help. Crisis averted for now but still some work to go.I really wasn't looking forward to dropping $1400 on cat and then $1200 on tires in the next two months. It may work out like that but it is what it is. Wear and tear.

Good news on passing your smog!!

Broken clip for hoses- pics tomorrow??

Yes, the black soot/ carbon buildup is an indicator of a leak but usually they'll crack on the backside to where you can't see it until you have the manifold off. Can you get a picture of where he's indicating the leak is?

It shows the pictures updated now. I guess it wouldn't work until I was back on Wi-Fi.

I have that same clip broke and couldn't find a replacement. I spoke to the dealer and the only way he could find it was if the whole hose assembly was purchased. I put in my fix for now but thought I would go by some junk yards. if anyone knows how to get just the clip that would be great.

I did the cat and manifolds on my 07 Rubi 2 years ago. Theres a company called abcatalytic.ca where I got a smokin deal Part# 42638 and I think I paid around $500 for the part...no problems since.
I got some good advice on here about getting some extra pipe welded on that allows for some movement at the manifolds and the tech at the service shop added them for me.
I can replace parts ok but once welding is involved I'm out so I did have to pay labour for these jobs.
Anyway Id hold off too...never get emissions money back!

Bumping to the top if anyone knows where to get this clip. Thanks a part number would be great but it seems as if it may not exist. There is also some type of figure 8 zip tie that holds both hoses together before it gets to the firewall.

I found two part numbers but I don't have time to see what they actually look like outside of the factory manual- 53008550 clip and 04641780 strap, tie. Can you see if either of those are correct?

From what I saw the 53008550 clip is an Oxygen senor wire to dip stick tube clip. I looked again and I the only place I see the clamp is when pictured with the whole heater hose assembly. Not work $175. I will come up with something to handle the hoses. Thanks for looking.
