Well....

It doesn't have 4 clips

I guess I'll need that piece as well

It is screwed to the console from the inside.

Wasn't able to remove to get the part numbers

All is good

The entire end cap on on the console is only held on with 4 clips, it pops off easy with a trim removal stick. The window switch bezel attaches to the end cap with 4 screws.

Default console retrofit

Well, wanted to update everyone on my non-ending search for the rear window switch bezel that attaches to the rear of the console for the UNlimited. After ordering part 1UB68DX9AA which was supposed to be the corect bezel for the switches and upon receiving the part, it was obvious it was for the 2-door model as it only has , for lack of a better description, coat hooks on it and no place for the electric window switches. After looking at a 2011 OEM parts listing and process of elimination of other parts I had ordered, I ordered 1UB92DX9AA. Once again, the same part as the 1UB68DX9AA. Cudos to Westgate Jeep in Plainfield, Indiana of working with me on this. They have even gone as far as to contact Chrysler direct and tell them of this issue and of course, their reply is "No, our information is correct" . Well, I have news for them, they must have a severe mispackaging issue by their supplier as I have also ordered from other places with the same result. So now, I have a complete console retrofit in my '09 Sahara with a hole at the rear of the console with the window wiring harness hanging out of it. If there is someone on this forum that by chance works at one of the Mopar Distribution centers and could check the 2 numbers listed and compare them, that would be great!!

That is the strangest thing, soory you are having so much trouble. Try over at mopar-wholesale DOT com, I ordered mine from them as they got me the part number to begin with. pm or email me your email and I can get you more information.

Cheers,

Do you care to tell how to take the center console out. I have done some searching and I can not seem to find the answer. Since you put one In it seem you could take it out in reverse. I'll be taking mine out this weekend to wire some seat heaters to the 12 volt aux power in side. If you still need the power window part number I'll look while I'm in there. Thanks for your help.

Default Console Retrofit

I finally got the correct switch pod. Matt08JK had come through for me with the correct number-1UB68DX9AA-trouble was, there indeed was some mispackaged bezels and of course I got 2 from 2 different dealerships. Here is a shout out to Brad Shelden at Chryslerpartscenter.com. Placed the order and not 5 minutes later, he calls me to tell me he is familiar with that number and there is only 1 available in the entire U.S. but would get it for me. It came out of Oregon and Brad's operation is in Kansas City. When he got it in, in emails me a picture to let me see that it was right. THAT is what I call customer service!!

With respect to the console, on my 2009 Unlimited, of course removed both shifter knobs(handles). The transfer case was the hardest, wrapped the stick with masking tape, slid an adjustable wrench under the knob itself and hit it once from underneath with my hammer. It popped right off and the A/T shifter, yanked with my hand straight up and it came right off. Removed the 4 screws(2 in each side) and the key for me was cranking the emergency brake handle as high as it would go in order to clear the console. Thought I was going to break the ebrake mechanism. You may want to move the A/T shifter a little to the rear when lifting up the console. I picked the console up from the rear and tilted it toward the windshield, thus the need to have the ebrake handle pulled up as high as you can.

SO I have a 2012. I need dto take the armrest part of the console apart to get to the power wires on the 12 volt outlet in there. If I read you correctly I lift the center portion of the console out after taking the T case selector knob off. THen 4 screws are all that hold the rest in?
