Default Cruise control doesn't work?

Is anybody able to help me with my cruise control? It randomly no longer works. I tried looking in the owners manual for a fuse for it but was unable to find anything. Everthing else in the cab works. I don't even get a green cruise light on the dash when I push the cruise control buton. btw this is in an 08 JKU

Its all under the horn. Look up the cruise install write up. Might help to see if all the connections under the horn are still connected.

Look into replacing your clockspring! One day it will just stop working and something else will just randomly stop working.
Next time you get the cruise light to turn on ( while sitting still/parked) try turning the steering wheel lock to lock and I will turn off when it hits the bad spot in the clockspring. You've done the trouble shooting for a bad clockspring at that point!

Mine just did this. I resolved it by disconnecting the battery for a couple hours and reconnecting. Been fine since.

Thanks for the help so far. Haven't been able to try anything yet, been kind of busy. However tonight on my way home from work, check engine light came on. Backed into the garage and tried checking the code by doing the self diagnostic by turning the ignition on and off 3 times and he scanned said done but no code? check engine light is still on. I don't know what going on all of a sudden?

Try the battery disconnect as mentioned above.

Default Cruise Control intermittant

This happened to me. The cruise control would not engage. Later, and sometimes on the same drive, it would be available. Took it into the dealership a number of times and it would always work for them. FINALLY, it failed for them also. They told me they had to order a part and would install it when it came in. I'm waiting for the part now.

When my clock spring went out, the airbag light came on while I turned the wheel, have you had that happen? Try the battery disconnect before going to the clock spring.

One thing I forgot to mention... There were no error codes at any time (including during or after the fact) when the cruise was not operational. The dealer scanned numerous times and found nothing amiss at all until it failed for them as well. They diagnosed it through observation not error codes.

Hope this helps
