Dealer trouble... Could use some opinions.
I'm in Vancouver. Which dealers should i stay away from? I'm not going to call out the dealer i'm currently dealing with... Yet anyway.
Well the good dealers so far in the Lower Mainland are White Rock, North Surrey, Destination in North Van, Burnaby sometimes.
Langley dealers are horrible, Maple Ridge are scammers and most others are just shit service. Are you on bcjeepclub.ca yet? If not go there and search "dealers" and you'll get the info you need.

Welp... I'm on BCJC, and the main reason i went to this particular dealer is it was almost unanimously suggested by the users, which is why it's a ~3 hour trip from home. Again, this is why this boggles me. I still am almost sure they know a LOT more than they are telling me right now...
What exactly are you looking at and price range for it to be so unique? Have you thought about just ordering one in new or are you trying to get a good deal off the lot?
Do you know what dealer the vehicle was getting pulled from? It's a fairly seamless transition and dealers do it all day long pulling vehicles from each other, unless one dealer doesn't like the other or there really is just one idiot on the one end holding things up. You never know because if somebody comes it and says hey I want that Jeep, they'll sell it before transferring it just to get their own sale.

I really don't know why it's so unique, It's just a 2013 2 door Sport, With A/C, Hard top, 3.73 gears, Connectivity package and an auto trans. I guess people don't buy basic sports with the extras. Price is $24,050. Even if another dealer could match/beat it, i don't think they could get it here any quicker, and i'm still not ready to jump ship i don't think...

Not sure...there was a similar one to that at North Surrey when we're there last month. I know Langley has a ton of sports there, but also quite a few manuals. There's probably a lot more base model sports out there in manual than auto and without a/c, but still. Sports are every where, you'd think it'd be easy to pull one from some where without any hassle.
I do agree, And i would call BS but i literally did spend a solid 5 hours calling every dealer i could find, and there was only one... I'm thinking the problem is the combo of base sport with with the options... I found 4 or 5 that had everything except for one of my options but it was a serious one, No A/C, no 3.73's, no auto etc.
Personally I'd go straight for a base model sport, 3.21 gears, no a/c and hard top that's it. Then I'd build it up how I want it. If you plan on getting bigger than 35" tires, you may as well not worry about the gearing because you'll want to regear down the road when you decide on 37s
I'd say the auto will be the biggest factor here though as that's a huge mechanical difference and a/c is as well. The 3.21 gearing is great up to 33" and with the new auto tranny the jeep drives much better.. We've got a 6spd and run 35s on 3.21s without much hassle or problems and it's the old 3.8L engine
We'll be re-gearing to 4.88 and locking it up for 37s though hopefully this summer. You find any with auto & a/c that you liked? If you can't find the right gearing, I'd change that especially if you plan on modifying it down the road.
