if it is the upper bolts then ur first trip through water over that level u will suck water right in mine was like that seems the factory that made the axles didn't know how to caulk sealant.

My leak is at the pinion where the driveshaft enters the pumpkin

No leaks here.. I use the LubeLocker diff gaskets and highly endorse them. Never an issue.
