Default Differiential Fluids

I was wheelin' all wknd and to say that I went thru a few deep water crossing would be an understatement. I'm sure the breather tubes were submerged a few times. This brings me to my question...What type of fluid/oil are you guys/gals using in your diffs? I'm planning on changing the fluids and greasing all my nips once I've cleaned her up a bit, as she's a little muddy. Thanks in advance

How deep were you going?

I thought the stock tubes came up to about the same level as the intake. You'd have to be almost 3 feet deep to come close to the tubes.

I used Mobil 1 in the rear & Valvoline Durablend in the front. I was going to use Royal Purple but the parts store didn't have the weight that I needed. In fact the durablend was the only 80w90 they had in stock. Seems to be an odd weight but that's what my owners manual calls for in the front.

I put Mobil 1 in the front and back (just did it a couple of weeks ago)

easy to do - a bottle pump would have helped out on the front

I wouldn't say all the water/mud holes were 3 ft deep, however, some were definitely. Friday night we pulled a stock Rubi out of 3+ ft, driver of that Rubi blow his clutch out, and was stranded for 2 days prior to our arrival.
