Just an on/off toggle switch would be a real easy way to do it too......

Well my Rubicon did have an on/off esp switch, but it didnt seem to really disable it. It would still kick on and off. I read that the on/off doesnt completely disable it and therefore, didnt work for me.

The fisrt time i disabled the ESP, it took me about 2 hours.

After the trail, it took 2 days to put it back.

I don't know why it's so difficult with me, and so easy with the others

Is there any notification it has become permanently switched off, just so I know its been done correctly. I tried it last night but after I switched the jeep off, everything seemed normal again, like it hadn't worked. If i press the esp button I get the sliding jeep and if I hold it I get esp off indication. I dont think its done?

I guess that's just a matter of personel choice.

To me the esp feature works well on standard pavement driving. I'm glad to have it.

I wonder if there could be any liability issues if someone has an accident that injures others and it's found out the esp was disabled.

A good lawyer could bring up negligence issues saying disabling the esp was in fact diabling a safety device.

Something to think about
I agree. Based on my experience, working with attorneys (I practiced law for over 20 years), most, if aware of the mod, would make the ESP disablement on a public road, an issue in a legal suit. Of course, a judge or jury may or may not consider that as proof of fault and liability- other factors may be considered more relevant.

If the ESP is kicking in for no good reason, it is more of a danger than having it disabled. My JK came with a yellow sheet of paper saying after a lift and larger tires disabling the ESP might be required..

Of course I cant find the paper now and I could have been drunk when I thought I read that...

Anyways, I have 3.5" lift and 35's on 15" wheels and my ESP doesnt ever bother me (I drive it like a car through the corners) I wonder why its a problem for some and not others..
