Exactly, rip about 2 inches of tape off. Loop it on the part of the stiker that makes the most contact with the latch.

+3 on the electric tape. Has been already a month of noise absence with the electrical tape remedy!

I'll have to do the tape if they don't get rid of the rattle...but I am at least making them get the door so its flush again rather than sunk inward like the other person mentioned.

Default Door hard to close without slamming

FOLLOW UP:
Got the JK back from the dealers yesterday. They sent it out to an autobody shop and had to bend the hindge half that is attached to the frame. This is the lower half on the hindge assembly. The door now closes the same as all of the others. They also had to sand, paint, and clear coat where they had broken the paint.

With the hindge re-aligned/bent and the door closing easily I developed the door (b) pillar noise. Four inches of Electrical Tape fixed it.

Hope this is the only issues I have with the Unlimited Wrangler.

Regards
Eddie

Did the tape trick and...so far so good. Would rather do this than screw with the dealer again and again and again and again thanks...

I kind of expected my Jeep Wranger 2d to have this little rattle. It did not bother me until I caved and did the electrical tape on the striker. All the little door rattles that I put up with were gone. My general commute is over poor city paved streets, so that rattle was always there....Not anymore....

Good to hear guys. The DS adjusted my door so it closes properly again...flush with body and pillar rather than more inwards. The rattle is back but I'll try the tape. I'm confused as to where you are putting it, are you wrapping it around the bar on the frame/pillar or putting on something in the door latch? I was thinking the little bar on the pillar side. The DS also told my wife they did order a new latch for my Jeep even though originally they told her my Jeep already had the revised style

We wrapped the tape around the loop on the pillar that holds the door when it is closed and the latch drops over the loop. No more noise.

You guys are geniuses...I put about a 4" strip on the door and did not hear so much as a single rattle all the way to work today!
