Default Electronic Disconnect seems to be acting funny....

Ok

So today i popped on the disconnect and the light for the swaybar just kept blinking. Randomly it would go solid for a few minutes and then blink again...

Any ideas, ive never seen this before..

What t-case range were you in?
How fast were you going when it was blinking?
How fast were you going when it went solid?

Hey

I have a standard and had it in Lo High

Hmmm... I suppose i was going anywhere from 20-30. I think it may have been blinking throughout the range but cant say that for sure....

I do believe it was solid at times in the 10-20 range. Again, i cannot say for sure

Is there a speed limiter to the disconnect? If there is i was unaware.

In the owners manual ... I believe it is limited by speed, I don't remember but I think it was around 15 that it will no longer stay disconnected!

Yeah, it tries to re-connect at 18mph.

From the owner's manual:

The system monitors
vehicle speed and will attempt to reconnect the
stabilizer bar at speeds over 18 mph (29 km/h). This is
indicated by a flashing or solid “Sway Bar Indicator
Light.” Once vehicle speed is reduced below 14 mph
(22 km/h), the system will once again attempt to
return to off road mode.

About three weeks ago mine I pressed the button in low range, it started flashing and has not stopped since, been waiting for the dealership for two weeks now for a replacement, sounds like Chrysler is not too happy due to the cost of the unit.

Have no idea what is wrong, but dealership said the entire unit must be replaced.
