My zipper at the rear window on my JK is broken. Will it be covered under warranty? The zipper is not broken on the window, it is broken on the top itself.

 

Mine skipped a bunch of teeth off and the shitty dealer in town gave me a phone number for a local leatherworks and upholstry place.

I never tried the good dealer. I just used it as an excuse to buy a trektop hahaha.

mine broke first time this spring ( on the window side )...dealer replaced with new rear window....now i just leave it out all the time until the hardtop goes back on. that back window is a real PITA!

 

the zippers actually came off the teeth on mine. So when I take my rear window out I have to store the zippers in the cup holders.

Maybe I should swing by the dealership and see if they will replace it.

 

That stinks, isn' the warrenty bumper to bumper for 3 yrs...... life time on power train (at least for the 08's)

 

The small metal end/beginning of the zipper broke off my rear zipper on the top last year. Dealer looked at it and ordered me a new top. It's always worth taking it in, worst case the dealer will say is it's not covered.

 

why do you need rear windows?

 

Mine is messed up on the top side of the zipper (not the window). I complained to the dealer and they put in a new back window... no scratches which is great but I still can't remove the window when putting the top down.

 

My dealer told me anything to do w the soft top is 12 months or 12k only. And I hAve the lifetime extended b2b warranty. I haven't needed top replacement yet, but I cannot find anything anywhere that limits the top on the warranty. Now, on another note, they did just replace all 4 BJs and the front axle seal under warranty, and I have c gussets and LCAs. (stock tires).
