It goes in next Wednesday so i will keep everyone updated as to whether it fixed the problem or not.
See that still don't make sense.....you have good heat, it's just not coming out everywhere. The radiator core doesn't decide where the heat is going. If the core was plugged you wouldn't have good heat where you do now. Can't the dumbasses tell that it's a distribution problem???!!!..

the only sense I can see in the stealership thinking is, half of the core is plugged somehow and the right side only gets air from the right side of the core.

So if this is the case they are right but if not then they are REALLY stupid.

Yes......I didn't think of that. If there are two different exits from the core going to different sides of the Jeep, then this could very well be what going on. I just never thought there was more than one exit from the core....

As long as they take care of you and you get the proper melt your face off heat back in your Jeep... Let them bill anyone they need to but the customer to make it right.

Let us know how well your new core works out.

This is how they explained it to me but i still don't believe it. i can't seem to find a detailed schematic of the ducting to verify. I guess we will know when they replace the core

Default Now what!!!!

Dealer put in new Heater core today and called me to tell me that it did not fix the problem.
The service advisor said that they can't figure out what the issue is and that they need to keep my Jeep until they figure it out. They had 5 mechanics look at it and they can't figure out why i am still getting cold air on the left side and not the right.WTF!!!!

maybe they will have to pull the lemon clause and give me a new Jeep???

Or something as simple as a rag stuck in the left side ducting.

people miss the simplest things sometimes.

but, air is still moving on both sides equally.

just one side is hot and other side is not

So anyony ever found out the source of this problem. I,m still having the same issue with mine. Had mine in the stealership twice, second time they replaced the duct work. it seemed a little better at the time ...but not right. We were into spring at the time so it wasnt a big issue. Now that cold weather is back its worse then ever. I have to drive with gloves and a coat. Hopefully they will honor the warrenty (now that its expired) since the problem has been ongoing.
