Default Found source of Rattle

Ive had a new rattle develop recently on the right side of the jeep, that sounds like something is really loose, even over small bumps, very annoying. So after a lengthy search, ive found that I can reproduce it by pounding on the outside of the hardtop. From there I traced it to my right rear fender flare. I havent fixed it yet, the only thing that works is to wedge something in there, it seems that jeep should have put a gasket between the plastic fenders and the body. This is very dissapointing as I just finished fixing the left rear flare, which had just started falling off, and I havent even been off road. Ive also noticed that the fender flares are very difficult to clean even minor dirt off of. NOTE TO JEEP: CHANGE FLARES SO THAT THEY ARE NOT COMPLETE CRAP That was just in case the people at jeep actually read through here, which I doubt.

Are you sure it's the fender? I had big rattle that is comming from my loose shock tower (right front). Can't tighten it any further because there are no more threads on the bolt. There is supposed to be a plastic isolator/spacer to make it tight. Just seein if we have the same problem is all...

Are you sure its the fender flare? Mine rattles in the rear and it is the EVAP canister. Its a big plastic box under the rear seat. Tap on it a few times and you will hear what I am talking about. I assume its the rollover valve and it rattles quite loud.

Has anyone else heard thiers rattle? I thought about rapping foam around it but don't know how long that would last under there. With the top off its really noticable.

X2. I love my Jeep. But if I had to do it all over again, I would have just kept my 04 and bought a truck. No major problems, just crappy build, paint, plastic, etc............ It's a good vehicle with the potential to great........ Just not this year.

Today it happened worse than it ever has, was driving on a two lane road, semi went by doing about 60 in the opposite direction and I was doing about 60, my hood slammed really hard into the stops, felt like it almost came off.

Ive been dissapointed in the build quality as well, it was tight when I first got it, but in 3k miles its totally changed, I was hoping to keep it a while.
Does anyone else feel like a guinea pig here? I just dont feel like chrysler did enough real world testing on these things, they were so close to being awesome, and they just dropped the ball:sad:
