I think Lange makes a foam carrier to stand them up behind the back seat, if I wasn't so cheap I would buy one. Mine are always banging together.

With a little bit of foam you may be able to make something yourself.

I love your signature quotes, and your picture is awesome too.

The mopar bag is a good investment for 60$, I love mine, it is easy to use, and also makes a good shooting blanket to lay on, and it just rolls up into a little package when you don't need it. easy to put the panels in it, and it hangs off of the back seat easily.

i do it all the time. they're fine back there, like most say, they're too heavy to go anywhere. don't sweat it.

(your mileage may vary) no scratches yet either. i've done this on the trail too and just pull a bungee cord across the whole thing to keep it sitting down tight and not bouncing around on the trail. even packed stuff on top of them and no problems.

I used an old worn out blanket we used to have on our bed and made 2 "pillow cases" out of it to cover the tops so they don't get scratched. Then we stand them up in back of the seats on a soft surface. Works just fine. No leaks or other problems yet.
