Question Front 44 Locker Slow

hey guys,

myrub is slow to lock the front locker under ideal conditions 3 to 4 times until it engages.. is it because it's new and needs to wear down to make smooth transition or is it just a new product problem ?

Do you mean that the light blinks 3 or 4 times before it goes on steady?

That would be normal.

Try pushing the button once and driving it slowly forward. Sometimes it takes about 15-20 feet for it to lock. Do not turn as this might make it take longer.

Anyone else have a problem?

Just push the button and keep driving, no need to go back and forward. The light may flash several times but that's not too unusual. Mine usually engage almost instantly but I have had a few times the light would flash a few times before it engages.

Default front rubicon 44 locker

my front locker takes forever to lock sometimes it seems my jeep is only about 1.5 years old and when i first got it it would lock pretty much instantly, im running limited slip additive maybe this is the problem but im also running it in the rear and the rear locks quick what gives ?

This is normal; front is longer to lock

I meant to ask the tech that worked on my Jeep last night what the 'operational conditions' were for the lockers to engage. If it's at a certain point in the differential rotation, steering wheel straight, moving, not moving, etc.

It can take a little bit to engage. it's normal.

It seems to be normal for the factory lockers, anyway. Not all lockers are created equal.
