It was 14 F. out the night before. I was not born yesterday, nor did I just buy my first truck last week, and won't buy "it's a jeep thing"
I have exposed many vehicles to temps way way colder than 14 F and never had had this happen. Ok, It happened once in the Rover but I left all the windows down. The jeep had all windows up, doors shut, not much snow on the floor mats.
Has anyone had this happen? I am thinking if this is a regular thing the jeep wont last 5 years before things start to fail in the dash.
I'm guessing the moisture from the melted snow in the floormats condensed on the warm dash while driving and then formed into frost later. Thats the only way frost could form inside the Jeep. Maybe try pulling the mats out and running the heater on high for the last portion of your drive in the evening? I've spent some time in your area and as you know there isn't a lot of moisture in the air at anytime during the year so go figure?

Oh my God!
Keep your window open a crack and you'll eliminate the problem! All vehicles frost up when it gets cold! Its not exclusive to Jeep wranglers!

Default 0% humidity but it was 80% that day

It may be the weird weather we have had. It is very dry here, like light a match and it will all burn dry. The day it happened we had 80% humidity.
There has been little hints of frost since, but not as bad as the first time.

Everyone told me overs were crap when I bought mine and to get a Toyota or Jeep. I really do not see this Jeep lasting 260K like my Rover.

I'm pretty sure that if you leave the window open a crack it will actually make it worse. Mine frosted up inside when I forgot to do the window up one night. As for moisture, I'll bet the carpets are the culprit. Pulled mine out long ago. It's almost impossible to keep water and snow from getting on the carpets.

There is another thread on here that is about the wet carpets. Apparently it is a warrantied fix. Something about water running in somewhere and collecting under the carpets. You might want to look at the recent threads. Good luck. EDIT check the link below:
